Drinking maturity drink ( - 2035)
Valuation 19/20
Rich garnet colour, fine rim, not very mature. The bouquet, which starts immediately, shows the typical, almost over-sweet Mouton glutamate notes, then light-coloured precious woods, caramel, prunes. The cabernet hints at a currently vulgar evolutionary phase, fortunately everything is mixed with chocolate and roasted nuts. On the palate, it is dense, creamy and with a lot of irrepressible sweetness, the tannins still appear somewhat crumbly. From my point of view, it is just closing up again. So it's worth waiting a few years here. (19/20). 17: Compared with various other 2000s on the Frutt. It's a great wine, but it's somewhat inferior to Haut-Brion and Latour in particular. What it lacks in size, it almost makes up for with its incredible sweetness. It is now somewhat more accessible than it was two years ago. 17: Quite a dark wine red colour. Dark berry, discreetly milky bouquet, blackberries and cassis, expansive, dark precious woods, lots of coffee roast notes, comes across as noble and at the same time somewhat arrogant. Full on the palate, black chocolate bitterness, aromatic finish with many black flavour contours. A fine pithy note remains on the tongue. From the constellation, it can be assumed that it is currently quite closed. There's more to come. There's still a lot to come! The lasting finish is particularly impressive.
