Our shop

Slightly hidden in Bahnhofstrasse 8 in Muri (Canton Aargau) lies our small shop. In our selected assortment you will find melodious names and coveted varieties. Our selection concentrates on the origin from Bordeaux and Burgundy. But you can also discover wines from Tuscany or Piedmont. Among the classics there are also less well-known wines with still undiscovered potential. Beginners’ wines from CHF 30 can also be found. However, we deliberately avoid standard and mass wines.

The best thing would be for you to drop by and take a look for yourself!

Süsses Gold aus dem Tessin Sweet Gold from Ticino A Sunday plait with bee honey is a real treat for the palate. Especially when it comes to honey from the untouched mountain villages of the Lavizzara Valley above the Maggia Valley in Ticino. From the mountain heights comes the popular lime blossom honey, whose taste is rich, full and yet mild. Further down in the valley, the dark chestnut honey typical of Ticino is produced. Its aroma is distinctive and particularly intense.

We are so enthusiastic about both varieties that we have included them exclusively in our shop. And because good things happen, we donate 5 francs for each glass to the charity Una Terra Una Familia.

Wine tasting on November 15, 2019

Pure pleasure with long finish

Every year in November opens Adrian Winkler his shop in Muri for an event very special. A blind tasting with selected wines and rare wines. Proud 800 francs cost the exquisite evening and is worth every franc.
A glass of fine champagne - Dom Perignon 2000 - a true lovers of fine wines on the special night. Full of expectation, is seen on the small table. There they stand, wrapped delicacies in black cloak, ready for tasting. Impartially everyone should be able to engage in the taste completely. Pure pleasure for all the senses. This is the maxim of the evening.
Getting started is difficult. Lange is puzzled, then the first two cloak be lifted. Ausone 75 & 78. The former has passed its peak, the second was moderately fine. For a Ausone but you should expect more.
Next two round: Margaux 79 & 83. The 83er could do two hours for its use ready in the carafe and it paid off. What a wine! Had the hosts Adrian Winkler also without airing last year in the program, what a difference! Then Haut-Brion 1978 & 1988, mentioned as Winkler, the two wines on offer have exactly 10 years difference was for two “professionals” immediately clear the need to 78 & his 88th
And Peter, 85 & Mouton Rothschild 82. What a disappointment from Pétrus! Was recognized by anyone as such. In contrast, the '82 Mouton made great joy. Vanilla in the mouth. Can only be a Mouton. Since the Pétrus disappointed, the host pushed by another Mouton 89th Also sensational. beautiful to drink both Moutons and probably in a few years too.
Now a guest came spontaneously to open a Alzero Cabernet 2004 from the frame the idea. drunk made. Very fine.
Another guest then picked up a bottle of Burgundy Dugat-Py Charmes-Chambertin 1999, very fine. The Burgundy freaks had their fun with it.
Now again a Bordeaux Round: Cos d'Estournel and Leoville las Cases 90 decanted 90. Both three hours to marvel blind tasted and both wines are guessing! For some customers, even the best wines of the evening.
For dessert there was a Yquem 1975. The wine guru Gabriel gives this drops 20 points. The perfumed Botrytis dancing right from the start, in the nose. Intense and simultaneously playing back and forth between acidity and sweetness. It documents a minute long finish.

In the background on the canvas is thrown from time to keep an eye on the match between Switzerland and Georgia. And then at the right time to Switzerland shoots the important 1: 0 and Winkler opens to the delight of spontaneously once a Yquem 1975th
The evening has done exactly what was promised. We look forward to the next benefit evening.
This will take place on Friday, 20.November 2020 instead of.
