PASSION AND PRECISION
WINKLERWEIN AND RAINER

Mirko Rainer, born in 1980 and raised in San Candido, South Tyrol, in the heart of the Dolomites, is head chef/sommelier manager of the renowned Montalbano restaurant in Stabio (Ticino). Influenced by his mountain origins, he has always been passionate about bow hunting. These two worlds merge and are brilliantly emphasised in the production of handmade knives. There are two lines in particular that attract his attention: one for hunting and the other for cookery. The material Mirko Rainer favours for blades is forged Damascus steel, while he likes to use natural materials for the handles. Both types of knives are not only work tools, but also exclusive objects of art.
