25 % smaller harvest than usual. Much pressed wine: 12 % because it was so promising and powerful with ripe tannins. Rich purple with violet reflections, dense in the centre. Mulberries and blueberries, slightly inky background, classic, medium-deep Cabernet flavours. Fleshy palate with slightly grainy tannins that give the wine a characteristic but also somewhat bourgeois note, noble bitterness reminiscent of black peppercorns in the extract. Can improve because it shows a lot of potential. Once rated a solid 17, then viewed again at the grand tasting at Château Teyssier and given the same score, although the rating environment here tends to be higher.
