Description
Kampot is a province on the south coast of Cambodia, about 160 kilometres south of Phnom Penh. Between the sea and the gentle mountains, there is an ideal tropical climate and perfect heavy, mineral clay soil for growing this pepper.
In contrast to Indian pepper, Kampot pepper has its own special flavour. The fruits are harvested when they begin to ripen and then dried in the sun for a few days. The pepper is then hand-selected and poor quality seeds are removed.
