Deep ruby-garnet colour, violet reflections, broad rim brightening. Restrained start, delicate red berries, a hint of rosehip, subtle tobacco flavour, nuances of candied orange zest. Good complexity, extract-sweet core, fine notes of sea buckthorn and plums, sweet, ripe tannins, highly elegant texture, fine acid structure, a wonderfully old-fashioned wine of Burgundian elegance, shows great length and minerality on the finish. Presents itself in perfect ageing form.
