| 01: Dark violet-purple colour, very dense. Delicate, homogeneous bouquet, blackcurrant, smoke, currants, tar and lots of blackberries. One of the densest and also fruitiest noses among the St. Juliens. On the palate again a great, expansive aroma, quite fine, ripe tannins, already shows a certain melting, intense back flavour. At last, another really, really great Talbot that might even improve. Very similar to the 1982! (18/20). 08: At a Wine & Dine in the Grand Hotel Doler. An absolute grenade and almost still a must-buy today. Unfortunately, there have only been a few Tablot vintages recently that are really worth buying. | |
