Valuation 18/20
80 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 20 % Merlot. 35 hl/ha. Extremely dark purple colour with purple and violet hues. Shows a lot of spice and wonderful floral notes, with a nice pinch of tobacco and an aroma from the underground, which brings black berry contours and truffles with it. In the second attack, dark plums, coffee and black olives. Dense on the palate, noble woods, lots of black berry fruit, a hint of bitter almond, the finish shows the rigour of the muscular tannins which demand integration with further barrel ageing. Tasted three times. Always felt somewhat robust. (18/20). 17: Dark garnet colour with purple reflections. Floral bouquet, surprisingly accessible and showing a certain depth. At the moment, the nose shows a certain Maremma affinity, appears discreetly woody and brings with it aromas of roasted coffee and dried cedar wood. On the palate, it has somewhat grainy tannins on the tongue and the finish has a fine bitter, tannic note. It is currently still searching for harmony. However, the general characteristics are very good. (18/20).

Falstaff:

Pure cassis fruit emerges behind fermented, herbaceous tones. Soft fullness at the start, then fleshy tannins, salty undertones, subtle acidity, powerful structure, firmly extracted, but also full-bodied and softly grounded. Compact, vinified for potential, excellent density.

When to drink: 2020 to 2036
