| Still incredibly dark, rich wine red colour, not very mature. A wonderful mocha cocktail on the nose, black olives, liquorice, pumpernickel and a hint of prunes. Velvety and fine on the palate, round tannins, great aromatics here too, lots of flavour pressure in the long, subtly green-spicy Cabernet finish. This was a very impressive large bottle! (18/20). 15: We drank it after a few other 1985s. It's up there with the top wines and can be enjoyed without haste for at least another 10 years. | |
