Deep dark ruby colour, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening. A hint of precious wood underlaid with delicate nougat, sweet spices, ripe cherries, dark minerality, ripe plums in the background. Very powerful with a mere 15.5 vol. alcohol, the texture is more like a Zinfandel, sweet and persistent, a literally stunning wine. It has no rough edges and remains quite harmonious, the future will show whether this will perhaps be at the expense of drinking pleasure.
