Bright ruby-garnet colour. Filigree bouquet, lots of red berries, a fine grenadine touch, red cherries, violets, with a floral spicy note from the Cabernet, as always on the elegant side on the nose. Velvety on the palate, finely structured, supple, beautifully balanced tannins. Great class, although - as is so often the case - it may be underestimated at first. Style 2001! 07: An ingenious, very fine bouquet with a fruity flavour. Silky on the palate with infinite finesse, literally dances over the tongue and only shows its potential and fine race in the second attack. (18/20). 08: Very dark wine red colour with bluish reflections. Brilliant, warm bouquet, freshly cooked plums, leather notes, the spice slumbers in the background. Full, creamy body, a bundle of sweetness, fruit and herbs, the texture is polished and the wine shows exceptional harmony. Belongs to the great Figeac vintages such as 1982, 1990, 1998 and 2000! |
