Very dark ruby. Deep, dark toasted oak aromas, almost liquoricy. Beneath the fruit is slightly baked again, blackberry and spiced plum. Lots of concentration here. The fruit is dark and bitter-edged, but it is ripe and the acidity and firm, juicy tannins are balanced. Good length and purity into the finish.
