Thomas Studach from Malans is also part of the new quality elite movement in the Bündner Herrschaft region. His wines are correspondingly sought-after and rare to find. Studach's first vintage was 1988. In 1995, he decided to focus on a single wine: the classic Burgundian Malanser Pinot aged in oak foudres. A compact, full-bodied Pinot Noir with noble, fine toasted notes, noblesse and lots of elegant dark fruit.
