Cantina Kopp von der Crone Visini was created in 2006 through the merger of Cantina Kopp von der Crone (founded in 1994 by Ueli Kopp and Anna Barbara von der Crone) and Vini Visini (founded in 1997 by Paolo Visini). We have been working closely together since 2002. Our cellar is located in Barbengo, south of Lugano. Today, the winery covers 7 hectares spread over three regions of Ticino: Mendrisiotto, Luganese and Bellinzonese. As a member of the Ticino Self-Pressers (AVVT), we only process our own grapes, which we cultivate according to the guidelines of integrated production. We attach great importance to treating nature as carefully as possible and promoting biodiversity. We are convinced that sustainable cultivation is also reflected in the quality of the grapes. After all, it is an old saying that a good wine is made in the vineyard. The main variety is Merlot (around 70%), but we also grow Arinarnoa, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. In addition to Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, we also cultivate white grape specialities such as Kerner and Viognier. As the soil conditions in Ticino vary greatly in a small area, we vinify most of the vineyards separately. In 2010, we were accepted into the renowned association for Swiss wine "Mémoire des vins suisses" (MDVS). The aim of the "treasure trove of Swiss wines" is to showcase the ageing potential of top-class wines from Switzerland and to publicise them internationally.

Tasting notes:
Full-bodied wine with a typical, beguiling bouquet, black berry, spicy and with floral accents, very dense, creamy with fine tannins. Lots of noblesse in the lingering finish.
