91: Barrel sample (17/20): Cooked pears, Sémillon presence, superb acidity; racy and lively. The best Rayne-Vigneau in perhaps 50 years. Arrivage (17/20): Nutty from the barrique roast flavours, feminine texture. Drank several times between 1994 and 1997 at Chasse-Spleen as an aperitif: Full of finesse, but light, elegant style. 00: Bright yellow; somewhat lighter than other 90s Sauternes. Fishy cowslip bouquet, vanilla, netted melon. Juicy, palatable palate, Burgundian, sweet extract, papaya flavour, long. (18/20). 06: At a Wine&Dine. Still very fresh and relatively light, which suits it very well, with a golden-delicioustouch and a lot of melting in the finish.
