Still very youthful garnet colour with a purple shimmer. Concentrated, impressive bouquet right from the start, cassis, blueberries, very fine coconut notes, homogeneous fullness, but probably only revealing half of what it will absorb in its full maturity. The palate is full, firm, compressed extract, almost shiraz-like when sipped like the fruit, reminiscent of a Grange. Dramatic finish. One of the few, but unquestionable legends of this vintage. I see its development without a hitch.
