Valuation 19/20
Virtually no signs of ripeness, medium-dark colour with only a subtle brick-red shimmer at the rim. Only slowly revealing aromas on the nose, truffles, sultanas, tar nuances, precious woods, showing a lot of depth. Noble, sublime on the palate, lots of warmth and no longer as raisiny as before, becoming more and more established and moving in the direction of a great Latour. Very great Latour. (19/20). 13: Very dark centre, but relatively brightening at the edge, showing little ripeness. Warm, ripe, expansive and full-bodied bouquet, lots of plums, lots of truffles, lots of sweet wood and still dark roasted tones. Sexy and charming on the palate. So easy? No, it still remains a complex, dense, long-lasting Latour with a good pinch of eroticism. I would buy more if I didn't already have "enough" of it.
