Description
Falstaff: 94/100
When to drink: 2018 to 2028
Complex aroma: a hint of graphite and smoky, very ripe blackcurrant, mint, redcurrant, cranberry, elderberry and sandalwood. A paradox on the palate: enormously soft and delicately round with a hint of sweetness, yet intensely fruity, not awkward and not drying in its viscous nature, remains round and harmonious to the end, salinity and a crumbly background of soft tannin provide support. Undoubtedly successful, but stylistically very unusual - and to a certain extent postmodern: The fruit seems like a quote from the world of fruit juice without the winey substance that normally accompanies it.
