Drinking maturity drink (2015 - 2028)
Valuation 19/20
Very dark, rich garnet colour with a violet shimmer. Royal bouquet of truffles, blackberries, cassis and dark precious woods, finely peppery in the deep background. Perfect on the palate, big and sublime, with power and flavour more in the Pauillac range, strong astringency with a guarantee for 50 years of enjoyment, and that for the first time in about 12 years. A great classic that vies with the leaders of the entire vintage. 11: Tasted at the winery. Smells of dried bananas and black berries. Juicy palate, brilliantly ripe tannins. A masterpiece. (19/20). 13: Dark wine red colour, violet hue. Spicy bouquet, dried plum jam, tar nuances, cold smoke. Very aromatic on the palate, medium body, spicy Szechuan pepper note in the extract, still needs a few years. I no longer rate it quite as highly as the Primeur (at the moment). But perhaps this will come back in the savouring phase.
