Rich purple-garnet, dense in the centre, purple shimmer on the outside. It is almost the only Margaux that shows some power on the nose, ripe fruit, reminiscent of wild berries, light-coloured precious woods, fine peppery notes on the inside. The palate is full-bodied, dense and offers an intoxicating combination of berries. Not a bulldozer, but still impressive with its fruity flavour. The second wine, the Chevalier de Lascombes, was also very good. Close to 18/20!
