Description

Gabriel:

Drinking maturity (2019 – 2035)
Valuation 17/20
62 % Merlot, 38 % Cabernet Franc. Production: 55,000 bottles, almost half a harvest. Rich purple-garnet colour, dense in the centre, purple shimmer on the outside. Intense, initially slightly gluey bouquet, milky-lactic notes, then cooked black cherries, cassis, coconut and dark chocolates. Full-bodied on the palate with juicy, rounded tannins. For once, it is rather elegant and you don't get the feeling that the limits have been explored. In other words, a "catch of the sound of this vintage!" An understood vintage melody. As a new Pemier A, however, this will be an expensive craving for this mild Angélus variant.

Falstaff: 92/100

Brilliant dark ruby colour, violet reflections, broad rim, black berry fruit underlaid with fine precious wood spice, ripe cherries, smoky herbal spice, tobacco nuances. Juicy, spicy and complex, fine acidity, chocolaty finish, good ageing potential.
